Stray Kids is a male vocal group from South Korea formed by JYP Entertainment through a reality show titled Stray Kids in 2017. This group originally consisted of nine members, namely Bang Chan, Woojin, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han. , Felix, Seungmin, and IN They released a pre-debut mini-album titled Mixtape in January 2018 and officially debuted on March 25, 2018, with a mini-album titled I Am Not. In August 2017, JYP Entertainment (JYPE) officially announced their survival reality show to launch a male idol group debut project. Along with the launch of the Stray Kids official website, JYPE announced a pre-debut mini-album titled Mixtape. The album contains seven songs written and composed by the members, including Hellevator and other songs they performed during the show. The Mixtape album was released along with the performance video for the second song, Beware, released on January 8, 2018, while the performance video for Spread My Wings was uploaded one week later. The album debuted at No.2 on the Gaon Album Chart and the Billboard World Albums chart.
On March 5, JYPE announced the debut showcase, titled Stray Kids Unveil (Op. 01: I Am Not), which was held on March 25 at Jangchung Arena. They officially debuted one day later with the release of a mini-album titled I Am Not, along with the music video for their title track “District 9”, while the music video for the song “Grow Up” was released on March 31, and the performance video for the song “Mirror.” “released on 23 April. On April 14, Stray Kids made its first overseas appearance since its debut by participating in the 2018 KCON Japan program.
On July 12, JYPE announced the second showcase, titled Stray Kids Unveil (Op. 02: I Am Who), which was held on August 5 at Kyung Hee University Grand Peace Palace. Their second mini-album titled I Am Who, along with the title single “My Pace”, was released the following day.
On October 4, JYPE announced the second showcase titled Stray Kids Unveil (Op. 03: I Am You) which will be held on October 21, 21 at the Olympic Hall, followed by the release of Stray Kids’ third mini-album, I Am You at the next day.
